Zedd - Codec

Usually not into this kind of thing. It’s repetitive and completely uninventive, but production is top-notch, the sounds are lovely and the melodies are super catchy.

Feed Me - Gravel

Spor - Push Me Pull You

I can’t believe I missed this coming out; I have been waiting for this track for years! Although I do like the intro and outro here… From hearing the live recordings and mix cuts of this over the years I was hoping that the full track would have more variation and different ideas :/

…I think I’m just a little bitter because Spor promised an album for August. It still is a lovely track… That smooth yet dirty bass fits so snug around the bleepy-bloopy melody synths. Very powerful stuff.

Justice - New Lands

Off topic content. Sorry for that. But the scifi vision is worth it: Justice suits up for a futuristic Rollerball-Any given Sunday-esque death match where football, baseball, roller derby and lacrosse collide. Directed by Canada.

Noisestorm - That Feeling (Free Download)

Yay! Free stuff! Good free stuff too. Free stuff with bouncy basslines and bubbly synth stabs.

Kung Fu Lemon - Double Jump

Melodic electro-house fun from yours truly. Actually made this quite a while ago.

Unfortunately there are horrible compression artifacts courtesy of soundcloud… Oh well, what can ya do?

Feed Me’s Escape From Electric Mountain

New Feed Me EP. Do you expect anything less than quality from this brilliant producer? I am addicted to his sound; his tense and punchy drums, his wet, melodic synths and aurally pleasing basslines.

Killed It - Pecknam’s Dirty Secret

This guy has some serious potential. This track got me tapping my foot like no-body’s business. I kind of feel bad critiquing his track simply because he’s probably a better producer than I am… But oh well.

One thing you don’t see very often in Electro now-a-days is a strong focus on melody, chord progressions and harmony.. over a dirty, fuck-you-in-the-face bassline… And I applaud this guy for having that.

The drums fit well and have a good tone, but they lack some punch, and on the whole sound a bit unprocessed. Don’t get me wrong, drums don’t always need to be punchy, but this track is calling for some good old punch.

The bass also sounds very unprocessed, as it’s basically just an almost untouched sawtooth waveform. In fact most of the other elements feel unprocessed as well… I wonder if he is using pre-set sounds. Well, at least its not horribly, over-compressed like a lot of electro is now.

Apart from the production problems here, I do really like this track. Especially that melody; its so simple and catchy. I love that he is focusing on the musical side of things, and I think he has the potential to get really popular, really fast.

Submissions…? :)

I really enjoy posting awesome electronica for people to enjoy here, but I’ve hardly had any free time to do it lately. :(

If anyone would like to post submissions of electronica they enjoy that would be awesome!

Could be anything… Dubstep, electro, drum n bass, experimental randomness… Maybe you have a track of your own? Send away :)
